If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. - African Proverb

  • Education

I have applied to continue my learning about policy and leadership by applying to the University of Toronto’s Master of Education; Policy and Leadership program. This program offers and opportunity for internship with the Minister of Education. I would like to pursue my PhD in the future but I want to take my time to balance career and academic goals.

  • Career

In September 2024, I will be taking on a new role as Grade 2 Teacher and a leader of our Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity team.

I am continuing to grow my private education business Rural Roots School which offers innovative and holistic tutoring and summer reading programs.

  • Personal

My next steps involve creating a podcast. I have been thinking about this idea for a while, and how interesting and uplifting it would be to create a space for teachers to be leaders and express how they built, engaged, and if community was important to them.

The podcast would coincide with my company Rural Roots School which provides tutoring support and teaching ideas.

Continued Learning

I am committed to ongoing education and reflection on the power of community and togetherness.

Each insight gained and every lesson learned adds another layer to the supportive environment I can create for children. As I continue to explore these materials and incorporate their wisdom into my practice, I am confident that I can provide a nurturing space for all those within it to thrive.

Here are some of my favourite videos and books that inspire me in this journey.
